Project overview

The "Baltic Environmental Information Dissemination System (BEIDS)" was launched in 1998 as a project aimed at acting as a focal point for the circulation of intelligent information on energy, transport and sustainable development issues. It currently involves Denmark, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Lithuania, Poland and Russia. Via its wide network and information dissemination infra-structure, BEIDS contributes to networking and know-how exchange on environmental issues in the region, complementing efforts towards transregional cooperation in sustainable spatial planning on the basis of Baltic 21. Information on previous activities performed since 1998 can be seen at the project's archive.
